PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively manufacture a high-precision and high-strength shaft member. SOLUTION: The shaft member 2 includes a shaft portion 21 and a flange portion 22 disposed at one end of the shaft portion 21. The flange portion 22 is formed into an annular shape, and the shaft portion 21 and the flange portion 22 are fixed by a welded portion 23, which is formed by irradiating the upper end of its inner periphery with a laser 35.
