SOLUTION: This manufacturing method of the electromagnetic wave shielding film, wherein a metal portion is formed in a mesh-shape by uniformly applying a coating liquid containing metal salt particles on a support, drying it, subjecting the coating layer to exposure, development, physical development and/or plating, and an electromagnetic wave shielding function is imparted by giving electric conductivity thereto, is characterized in that liquid application is carried out by a slot application method, the thickness of the binder layer (in a dry state after drying) after the development of the coating layer formed by the application is 0.05-0.2μm, the film thickness of the metal mesh portion after the developing is 0.08-0.3μm, so that the metal amount of the metal salt particle content layer becomes 0.4-0.8 g/m<SP>2</SP>.
