A display device contains a map and correlation information which is correlated to one or more position information in the map. The display device displays the stored map on a display, selects one or more regions not smaller than a predetermined size in the display region where the map is displayed, and superposes/displays on the map, the correlation information correlated to the position information in the map displayed in the selected region.
