<p>A high density connector for high speed transmission which can cope with higher density contact for signal line and connecting between electric components easily with simple structure. The high density connector comprises a female connector having a connector body in which a plurality of contact containing recesses are formed, and a plurality of female contacts press fitted in the contact containing recesses and held in place, and a male connector having a connector body in which a plurality of slits are formed, and a plurality of male contacts press fitted in the slits and held in place. The female contacts are arranged in a plurality of rows while being staggered such that the female contacts adjoining front and back are located obliquely, and the contact parts of the male contacts touching the female contacts are arranged in a plurality of rows while being staggered in correspondence with the arrangement of the female contacts. Two rows adjoining front and back out of the staggered female contacts are a pair of rows of a set of contacts for signal line, and one row held between the pair of rows of a set of contacts for signal line in front and back is the row of contacts for ground.</p> |
