The present invention provides stabilized a-lipoic acid particles, each of which includes a core consisting of a-lipoic acid particles having a volume average particle diameter of 3 to 30 µm and a first coating layer formed on the surface of the core wherein the first coating layer includes fine particles of an amino acid or an amino acid derivative or the like having a volume average particle diameter of 0.01 to 2.5 µm, a composition including the same, and a method for preparing the same.
