PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device capable of preventing return of cleaned toner and dirt to a fixing means, and preventing generation of image noise. SOLUTION: The fixing device includes a cleaning means 70 for cleaning a fixing roll 61 as a fixing member. The cleaning means 70 cleans by contacting the cleaning member 74 with the fixing member 61 approximately in synchronism with passing of a nip part of a paper. The cleaning member 74 is supported by swing members 72, 73, and the paper, of which the nip part has passed through, presses the swing member 72, and the cleaning member 74 is abutted on the fixing member 61.
