<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a content distribution and storage system which provides a client surely with content data even if an edge server stops, and also provide a provider server device registering method, a node device and a node processing program thereof. <P>SOLUTION: An overlay network is formed by participation of a plurality of server devices, wherein a plurality of content data are usable among the plurality of server devices, by distributing and storing the content data in the server devices. The node device not participating in the network is provided with; a registration means which registers one of the plurality of server devices as a provider server device for providing the prescribed content data; and a function stop detecting means which detects the stop of the provider server device. When the stop is detected, the registration means newly registers other server device among the plurality of server devices, as the provider server device, in place of the stopped provider server. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
