PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate impact sound caused by the contact of a follower of a slide member against a wall of a cam groove of a disk tray and the occurrence of chattering noise when a tooth of a drive gear abuts against a tooth of a tray-side gear part or a loading-side gear part when switching an operation by a gear mechanism. SOLUTION: The disk drive device includes: a disk tray 5; a turntable rotating the disk; a tray conveyance mechanism conveying a disk tray; a unit lift mechanism moving the turntable between a loading position and a retreating position; one driving motor; a first power transmission part including a first normally-meshed drive gear 106 transmitting the power of the driving motor to a main rack of the tray conveyance mechanism; a second power transmission part including a second normally-meshed drive gear 108 transmitting the power of the driving motor to a rack part 72 of a loading part moving mechanism; and a power transmission mechanism 12 including a transmission path switching part switching a power transmission path from the driving motor between the first power transmission part and the second power transmission part.
