PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a memory device for properly reducing write-back frequency and preventing deterioration in write performance when the write-back does not occur, and to provide a memory control method, and a program therefor. SOLUTION: A flash memory 23 includes a management area; a user data area; and a cache area. The management area includes a logical/physical table; and the address of the physical block in the cache area corresponding to the address of the physical block of the logical/physical table. When data is written, having a designated logical size or less being the logical space size of sectors in the user block of the user data area, the CPU 21 of a memory card 20 selects a prescribed cache block and stores a part of management information in the cache block storing the data.
