PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator capable of being installed in a state of being kept into close contact with a wall surface and the like without degrading radiation performance, reducing contamination by dirt and dust, and having good appearance. SOLUTION: In this refrigerator where a heat insulating housing is composed of an outer case having a seal face of a door, an inner case composed of a synthetic resin and the like, and a heat insulating material disposed between the outer case and the inner case, at least a compressor or a radiator of a refrigerating cycle is disposed at a lower portion of the heat insulating housing, and a radiation passage of a radiator is formed at a back side of the heat insulating housing, a back plate and side plates at its both sides constituting the outer case are composed of a sheet of steel plate, an outer shell of the back plate and the side plates is formed by a curved face of a specific radius of curvature, and a ridge line portion formed by a curved face of a radius of curvature smaller than that of the outer shell of the back plate and the side plate and formed by the back plate and the side plates, is recessed inside to apply the ridge line portion as a radiation passage of the compressor or the radiator.
