SYNTHETIC PEPTIDE AND VACCINE CONTAINING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems that it is generally difficult to map an epitope in a coiled coil conformation, in addition, a protected epitope must exist in a right conformation to immunological recognition by an antibody bond or the like, therefore it is particularly important that a stable minimum epitope is defined and when it is used as a vaccine. SOLUTION: Overlapping peptides derived from conformation epitopes are embedded inside of a peptide having similar unmodified conformation. This approach has possibility to be used for mapping the conformation epitopes in a certain region and for designing minimum epitopes as a vaccine candidate against GAS (group A streptococcus) and various other pathogens.
