PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an operator to clearly recognize the circumstance that a welding condition or the like is unsuitable. SOLUTION: A spot welding device (10) is provided with a spot welding gun (20) which turns on an electric current while clamping a workpiece to be welded and pressing the same by a pair of electrode chips, and a robot (15) which positions either one of the spot welding gun and the workpiece to the other. The spot welding device is further provided with a spatter-detecting means (41) for detecting the generation of the spatter during welding by the spot welding gun, a spatter generation number-memorizing means (42) for renewing and memorizing the spatter generation number at every welding position at the time when the spatter-detecting means detects the generation of the spatter, and an output means (51a) for outputting the spatter generation number memorized by the spatter generation number-memorizing means at every welding position.
