PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measure for measuring waist which enables not only the measurement of the waist but also the visual determination of difference from an obesity limit value simply based on a waist height method without need for calculation and moreover, allows a plurality of users to effectively utilize it. SOLUTION: A woman 156 cm tall, a measuring person, sets the reference line 12 of the measure 10F for measuring waist almost at the position of her navel and the body 11 of the measuring device is wound fully once around her waist to adjust the reference line 12 with the graduation at a waist level 13. Then, just look at the reading of the graduation on the column 15 showing an excessive size of waist corresponding to 156 cm for the stature of the measuring person. A quick glimpse at it tells her that the actual waist size of 88 cm exceeds 2 cm over the obesity limit value (86 cm). COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
