<p>A process for producing a rubber-steel composite cord, in which even in the case where a core part is covered by an unvulcanized rubber in advance, is free from the problem of draw arrangement of sheath filaments. Further, there is provided a rubber-steel composite cord being favorable in rubber penetration and having a high cord strength. The process is for the production of a rubber-steel composite cord of structure comprised of a core part (1) composed of one or two or more core filaments (11) and, arranged therearound, multiple sheath filaments (12,13). The process for producing the rubber-steel composite cord comprises, while passing the core part through a mouth ring, covering the periphery thereof with an unvulcanized rubber and thereafter intertwining sheath filaments around the periphery of the core part covered with the unvulcanized rubber. As the mouth ring, use is made of one allowing passage of the core part and having substantially the same sectional configuration as that of the core part.</p> |
