<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive unaided walk trainer to train a trainee to walk within its narrow space, constantly supporting him or her during the training. <P>SOLUTION: As in a baby walker, a support arm 30 is provided for a trainee A in this unaided walk trainer 10 within which the trainee A walks. The support arm 30 supports the standing trainee through its support means 45, of which the lifting power comes from a counterweight 50 through a rope 40. The trainee walks supported by the unaided walk trainer. While he walks, the support means supports his or her body weight, and against the up and down moves of his body occurring while he or she walks, the counterweight 50 goes up and down through the rope 40 to keep supporting the trainee with a fixed lifting force irrespective of the up and down moves of his or her body. Since the weight of counterweight 50 is transmitted to the rope 40 through a movable pulley 47, a half weighing counterweight 50 is enough to support the trainee. The weight can therefore be lightened to reduce the burden of a care worker, etc. The support arm shakes by a screw jack 33.
