<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination device for a card reader in which the internal structure can be simplified to constitute at a low cost by irradiating by one light-emitting element a slot illuminating portion in the center of a side wall and an operating switch at the peripheral portion of the side wall through a light guide body, and energy-saving and power-saving can be realized. <P>SOLUTION: A first light guide part 21 has its base end portion 21a arranged opposed to a common LED 11 and extends to the front side in insertion direction and its top end portion 21b positioned opposed to on the rear face side of an indicator 3. A second light guide part 22 is branched from a middle portion 21c of the first light guide part 21 and extends in right and left direction crossing the insertion direction, and the terminal portions 22L, 22R at right and left are positioned respectively opposed to each other on the rear side of a history switch 4 on the upper stage left-hand side and a volume switch 5 on the upper stage right-hand side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
