摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable thin liquid crystal display device which is equipped with a thin cooling device efficient at cooling heat generated from an LED backlight mounted on the liquid crystal display device with a large screen. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display (3) is equipped with the cooling device (7) for cooling a light emitting diode (4) to make the liquid crystal display (3) irradiated with light. The cooling device (7) has: a first heat exchanger (71) which is thermally connected with the light emitting diode and vaporizing a supplied coolant; and a flat-shaped second heat exchanger (72) disposed on the rear side of the first heat exchanger (71) and liquifying the coolant vaporized by heat transmission from a casing, wherein the first heat exchanger (71) and the second heat exchanger (72) are connected to each other for the purpose of circulating the coolant. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
