<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a friction implement capable of selecting and using a friction part having an external shape suitable for a desired thermal discoloration area. <P>SOLUTION: The friction implement 1 can thermally discolor handwriting of thermochromic ink by frictional heat generated by rubbing the handwriting of the thermochromic ink. The friction implement comprises a first holder 2, a second holder 3 and a third holder 4. The first holder 2 has a first friction part 51 at one end and an insertion hole 22 at the other end. The second holder 3 has a second friction part 61 at one end and a third friction part 62 at the other end. The third holder 4 has an insertion hole 41 at one end.
