摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently and effectively reduce the power transmission loss of a hybrid vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: A hybrid drive mechanism 10A has a first transmission 400 between an output rotating shaft 380 of a motor generator MG1 and a counter shaft 700 and a second transmission 500 between an input shaft 370 connected to an output rotating shaft of a motor generator MG2 and the counter shaft 700. The transmissions each have a plurality of gears, and transmission gear ratio, i.e., the rotational speed ratio of an engine 200 to the counter shaft 700, is selectable over a wide range through the action of a first clutch mechanism 430 and a second clutch mechanism 530 to connect each gear with the counter shaft 700. During a shift by which a gear specified by the conditions of the transmissions is changed to a desired gear, of two kinds of transmission routes defined by the machinery of the hybrid drive mechanism 10A, the transmission route with the smaller number of gears that the route passes through is selected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
