LASER BEAM MACHINING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate failure due to a laser beam penetrating a workpiece and to enhance quality maintenance of a machined workpiece as well as workability including carrying in/out of a workpiece.

SOLUTION: A laser beam machining apparatus is provided with: a laser beam irradiation part 10 for emitting a machining laser beam to one face of a workpiece W; a fixing table 20 having an opening 21 which is opened at least in an irradiation range which is irradiated with a laser beam during machining; a holding body 30 which movably holds the workpiece W or a workpiece holder W1 on the fixing table 20; and a planar transfer mechanism 40 which moves the holding body 30 along the surface of the fixing table 20, wherein a standby part 20A for carrying the workpiece W in or out is formed at a part on the fixing table 20.
