PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the smudge of a printed matter resulting from the non-anchoring of an ink and toner without reducing a throughput more than required. SOLUTION: When performing a print processing for a recording medium using the ink or toner, an interval time from this print processing completion up to the next print processing start is established from the consumption of the ink or toner in each print processing, and the start timing of the print processing is controlled from the established interval time.
