PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning device capable of obtaining high removing performance while more suppressing wear of a cleaning blade and a surface moving member to be cleaned as compared to a conventional counter system, and to provide an image forming apparatus, a process cartridge and a transfer conveyance unit provided with the cleaning device. SOLUTION: The cleaning device removes depositing substances by pressing a blade 31 which is long in the axial direction of a photoreceptor to the surface of the photoreceptor 10, and the device is configured in such a manner that: a face 31a in an upstream side of the blade 31 is longer in a direction orthogonal to the contact side of the blade than a face 31b in a downstream side; a horizontal portion 32A of a blade holder 32 that regulates warpage of the blade is fixed to a face opposing to the face in the upstream side of the blade; the blade holder 32 is supported by a frame body 33 in a downstream side along the moving direction of the photoreceptor surface, than a normal line N on a contact portion P where the contact side is in contact with the photoreceptor surface; and the blade 31 is held by a vertical portion 32B of the blade holder 32 via its horizontal portion.
