PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle body rear part structure capable of surely receiving input load from a suspension tower reinforcement member by a rear pillar and transmitting the load to other members effectively by improving strength and rigidity by firmly reinforcing the vicinity of the coupled portion of the suspension tower reinforcement member of the rear pillar of a back door opening part and capable of improving steering stability by enhancing the rigidity of the back door opening part. SOLUTION: A knot part 72 is provided on the pillar lane 22 which constitutes a part of a closed cross-section structure of the rear pillar 3 so as to partition a closed cross-section space 71 near the coupled portion 70 to the suspension tower reinforcement member 12 of the rear pillar 3. The pillar lane 22 consists of a pillar lane upper 22a and a pillar lane lower 22b arranged and coupled vertically. The knot part 72 is formed at the lower end part of the pillar lane upper 22a.
