摘要 <p>A procedure for controlling the starting, crawling and stop-go properties of a car with an IC engine and a gearbox with an electronically-controlled friction clutch has a device to ascertain the ignition timing and another to ascertain the clutch position. With small angles of the gas pedal (or throttle flap), the engine speed is held at a constant and lower value by retarding the timing. The clutch pedal is then activated proportionally to the gas pedal movement. The engine speed is held at a value between upper and lower idling speeds. When a particular gas pedal angle is exceeded, the ignition timing is set back to normal and the crawling-control-mode is ended.</p>
