Provided is a drinking water server having a structure capable of suppressing the reproductions of bacteria in a chilled water tank or in an extracting tube or valve for chilled water. In the bottom face of a chilled water tank (2), there is formed an opening (2c), in which a straight chilled water extracting pipe (6) is horizontally arranged through a bent portion (6b). An ultraviolet lamp (8) is arranged to extend from the inside of the chilled water tank (2) through the opening (2c) to the bottom portion of the bent portion (6b), so that the ultraviolet ray emitted from the ultraviolet lamp (8) may irradiate all over the inside of the chilled water tank (2) and the pipe inside of the chilled water extracting pipe (6). Moreover, a diaphragm (71) for clogging the leading end of the chilled water extracting pipe (6) is used as the valve member of a chilled water extracting valve (7), thereby to eliminate the dead angle of the ultraviolet ray.
