PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat plate type fuel cell stack and a module which are more light-weighted than a conventional one and superior in performance.

SOLUTION: In the flat plate type fuel cell stack in which a unit cell including the flat plate type fuel cell is laminated in a plurality of numbers, respective separators 7a which are arranged and installed at the periphery of the respective flat plate type fuel cells 1, and which constitute an outer frame of the flat plate type fuel cell stack are equipped with notch parts 11 at its peripheral part.
