<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller capable of promptly starting an engine even when an automatic transmission unit is in shifting a gear when motor travel is changed to engine travel. <P>SOLUTION: If there is a request to start the engine when the automatic transmission unit 20 is in shifting, a transfer torque capacity control means 78 performs transfer torque capacity control, that is control for increasing transfer torque capacity; once sufficient transfer torque capacity for cranking of the engine 8 is secured, an internal combustion engine start control means 80 performs engine start control, so that as reaction against the resistance of the engine 8 to rotation, reverse drive torque that is normally transmitted from a driving wheel 38 of sufficient size absorbs variations in the resistance of the engine 8 to rotation. Thus, even while the automatic transmission unit 20 is shifting gears, engine speed N<SB>E</SB>is accurately increased for its start by use of the reverse drive torque, and the engine 8 can be started quickly. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
