<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an amphibious vehicle capable of enhancing efficiency of motive power as compared with the conventional art. <P>SOLUTION: The amphibious vehicle is provided with a generator; a battery for charging electric power generated by the generator; an engine for driving the generator when a terminal voltage of the battery becomes less than a predetermined threshold value; a drive device for on-ground traveling for converting the electric power generated by the generator or/and the electric power fed from the battery to the driving electric power for on-ground traveling; an electric motor for on-ground traveling driven by the drive device for on-ground traveling; a wheel rotated/driven by the electric motor for on-ground traveling; a drive device for on-water navigation for converting the electric power generated by the generator or/and the electric power fed from the battery to the driving electric power for on-water navigation; an electric motor for on-water navigation driven by the drive device for on-water navigation; a propeller driven by the electric motor for on-water navigation; a steering device for on-ground traveling for setting a traveling direction at on-ground traveling; and a steering device for on-water navigation for setting a traveling direction at on-water navigation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
