<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication terminal device operating in a power saving mode, which can prevent delay of packets during communication requiring real time performance such as audio and video, and to provide a power saving mode control system and a power saving mode control method. <P>SOLUTION: A communication control section 154 of a streaming processing section 150 calculates a cache residual amount of data in streaming processing on the basis of the data amount from a data acquiring section 151, a storage section 152 and a multimedia processing section 153, judges the presence or absence of a real-time request and controls the power saving mode to be ON or OFF.
