<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of correctly reading out information recorded on a toner storage container with a deformable toner housing body. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 100 includes at least a photoreceptor 1 for carrying a latent image and a developing device 4 for depositing a toner on a latent image on the photoreceptor 1 to develop as a toner image, wherein the following toner storage container 30 is used. The toner storage container includes a toner storage container part 30 for storing a toner and an engaging part 33 having a toner discharge port 35 connected to the toner storage container 30 and to be inserted into the main body of the image forming apparatus 100 and having a toner discharge part 36 including the toner discharge port 35, the engaging part to be engaged with an engaging part 81 of the main body, wherein the engaging part 33 has an information recording part 34 for electric communication with the main body of the image forming apparatus 100. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
