摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an optical film capable of stably forming a functional layer by vacuum deposition and improving mechanical strength and chemical resistance for material short of the mechanical strength and chemical resistance when forming a film on an ordinary plastic base of, for example, MgF<SB>2</SB>or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the optical film having the optical functional layer on a film like base 9 includes: a step of disposing a deposition material 7 in a deposition container 6, heating the surface of the deposition material 7 in the deposition container 6 in a vacuum device with electron beams to dissolve the surface of the deposition material 7 and again solidifying the surface; and a step of continuously forming a functional layer on a base 9 according to a roll to roll method by using an electron beam heating vacuum deposition method in the vacuum device while making the deposition material 7 in the deposition container 6 in which the surface of the deposition material is re-solidified, a deposition source. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
