PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a male type fastening body made of a shape memorable resin, holding sufficient fastening force, and surely vanishing the fastening function by heating to the shape recovery temperature or higher, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: The male type fastening body 1 made of the shape memorable resin includes a columnar shaft part 2 having a male screw part 23 formed on an outside surface. The fastening body 1 includes: a fastening form having a plurality of long diameter parts 21 extending in parallel to the central axis of the shaft part 2 and having a long distance up to the outside surface from the central axis of the shaft part 2, a plurality of short diameter parts 22 positioned between the long diameter parts 21 and having a shorter distance from the axis than the long diameter part 21 and the male screw part 23 formed on the outside surface of the long diameter part 21; and a fastening function-vanishing form revealed by being heated to the predetermined temperature or higher. In the fastening function-vanishing form, the shaft part 2 is formed in a substantially columnar shape having a radius a3 larger than a radius a2 of the short diameter part 22 and smaller than a radius a1 of the long diameter part 21, and does not have the male screw part on the outside surface.
