PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sub station using a storage element capable of effectively using the regenerative power from an electric vehicle, and an electric railroad feeding system. SOLUTION: The sub station 21a of an electric railroad vehicle which converts the AC power into the DC power by a rectifier, and supply the DC power to an electric vehicle via an overhead wire, comprises a storage element 6, a power converter 7 which is connected between the rectifier and the storage element to charge/discharge the storage element, a detection means 12 for detecting the output current i2 of the sub station, and a control means for controlling the power converter to charge the storage element when the output current i2 of the sub station detected by the detection means 12 is below the first reference value, and to discharge the storage element when the output current is above the second reference value.
