PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively use each radio communication channel as a safe and stable data communication channel in a train control system, wherein redundant data communication channels are obtained using a plurality of radio communication paths with different CHs(channels) between on-train radio control devices and ground radio control devices. SOLUTION: The train control system performs radio communication between a plurality of the on-train radio control devices moving on a predetermined railroad line and a plurality of the ground radio control devices installed along the predetermined railroad line so as to establish parallel simultaneous radio communications on a plurality of the radio communication channels of various communication frequencies between a plurality of the on-train radio control devices and a plurality of the ground radio control devices. In this system, one radio communication channel is selected out of a plurality of the radio communication channels to perform an authentication request and an authentication process, and an cryptographic key obtained by the authentication process is used as a common cryptographic key shared by a plurality of the on-train radio control devices so as to encrypt data communication between a plurality of the on-train radio control devices and a plurality of the ground radio control devices.
