A turning apparatus and method for subassembly of shipbuilding block using a hoist are provided to turn the subassembly freely, and to prevent the upper part of the erected subassembly from being pulled back rapidly. A turning apparatus for subassembly of shipbuilding block using a hoist comprises a hoist frame(50), a first and a second hook(120,130), a first and a second turnover jig(140,150), and a wire separation protection guard(170). In the hoist frame, a first and a second wire drum(51,53) in which a first and a second wire rope(52,54) are reeled. The first and the second turnover jig include a first and a second connection wire(142,152) connected to the first and the second hook, a first and a second spacing bar(141,151) connected to the lower side of the first and the second connection wire, and a first and a second turnover wire(143,153) connected to the first and the second spacing bar and a subassembly(160) of a shipbuilding block. |
