<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely store data which should be stored while ensuring consistency of data of volatile memory (SRAM 12) with data of nonvolatile memory (EEPROM 14) in a vehicular memory management apparatus comprising the SRAM 12 and the EEPROM 14. <P>SOLUTION: The SRAM 12 is provided with a mirror area for storing the same information as that in a PDTC (permanent failure code) storage area and an update information storage area for storing update information presenting an update status of the SRAM 12. When a failure is detected, a DTC (failure code) is stored in the mirror area and a DTC storage area to make the both consistent with each other and the update information is rewritten. After confirming that the consistency of the mirror area with the DTC storage area is ensured based on the update information, the information in the mirror area is duplicated at PDTC storage area. When the information in the mirror area is determined to have been deleted based on the update information, the information in the PDTC storage area is duplicated at the mirror area. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
