<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical genuineness judging object which is effectively forgeryproof and security-oriented. <P>SOLUTION: This genuineness judging object 1 is used for a certification medium and comprises uniform minute triangle pole-like prisms 3 made of a transparent or opaque material arranged side by side on the surface of a base material. In addition, a planar part 6 showing a character, a symbol or a pictorial pattern 8 is formed by removing or deforming the minute triangle pole-like prism 3 which forms a part of the minute triangle pole-like prism surface. Besides, the planar part 6 showing the character, symbol or pictorial pattern 8 can be pigmented in a different color from the minute triangle pole-like prism 3.
