PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to easily and inexpensively reduce an electroconductive polymer to a fine powder, and to provide an electroconductive polymer powder exhibiting high capacity which the electroconductive polymer has intrinsically. SOLUTION: An acid-soluble electroconductive polymer is dissolved in an acid to prepare an electroconductive polymer solution (dissolution step), and the electroconductive polymer solution is diluted with water to raise the pH to 2-3, whereby an electroconductive polymer powder is precipitated (precipitation step). The electroconductive polymer powder thus obtained has a very small particle diameter and can be suitably used as an electrode material of a capacitor. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
