PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast receiver capable of automatically displaying information relating to the vicinity of a specific object by using a function such as pattern recognition and identifying the object specified from a screen of wide spatial display in digital TV broadcasting. SOLUTION: A data separating part 102 separates stream data demodulated by a signal demodulating part 101 into video data S2 and the other data S4. A pattern comparison processing part 108 compares in pattern the specific object on a screen included as an image in video data S6 decoded by a decoding part 103 with image data of a comparison source included in the other data S4 to generate position information of the specific object on the screen. A data processing part 105 outputs display information data with which display data about the specific object is matched to the position of the specific object by using the position information from the pattern comparison processing part to be displayable.
