PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein a time information acquisition apparatus cannot acquire exact time information, in a state where the IP address of a time information providing apparatus is not grasped. SOLUTION: The time information acquiring apparatus transmits a time information acquisition request which concurrently serves as a search for the time information, providing apparatus using broadcast communication. Moreover, in this message, an identifier showing the accuracy of time information which itself requests is described, and by acquiring only the time information which meets the request, the exact time information is acquired.
