PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically acquire necessary configuration information and network information when executing various tests about a network by using a maintenance program. SOLUTION: The communication equipment A transmits an LBM frame using the multicast LB function of an Ethernet-OAM (Ethernet-Operations Administration Maintenance) protocol, and specifies the transmission source of an LBR frame as an MEP (MEG (Maintenance Entity Group) End Point) to acquire MEP information showing information about an MEP when receiving the LBR frame as a response. After that, the communication equipment A transmits to the specified MEP an LTM frame using the multicast LT (Link Trace) function of the Ethernet-OAM protocol, and specifies communication equipment to be an MIP from the LTR frame to acquire MIP information showing information about the MIP when receiving the LTR frame as a response.
