PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal processing circuit of a rotation detector which can generate accurate rotation information including the rotation direction of a rotor which rotates with the rotation of an object to be detected. SOLUTION: A phase difference compensation substantial section 51 determines whether a predetermined phase difference compensation condition is met which can determine that the influences of noise which appear in first and second filter signals PHA_SOR and PHB_SOR output from first and second filter sections 50a, 50b, respectively, are different from each other. The phase difference compensation substantial section 51, when the phase difference compensation condition is met, compensates for the phase relation between first and second phase difference compensation output signals PHA_R and PHB_R so that the phase relation is the same as the phase relation between the first and second phase difference compensation output signals PHA_R and PHB_R immediately before the phase difference compensation condition is met.
