PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiant burner capable of increasing the radiant energy output amount and a radiation efficiency. SOLUTION: A membrane for radiant gas burners includes a metal screen and a fabric of metal fibers. The membrane has a surface with a permanent undulation, in which the surface area of the waveform is wider than the surface area in case the metal screen in flat shape spreads over the same area as an object to be compared, and the fabric of metal fibers is of non-sintered nature having flexibility. This fabric is secured to the metal screen, and as a result, the waveform of the metal screen is arranged so that the surface area of the waveform is wider than the surface area in case the metal screen in flat shape spreads over the same area as object to be compared.
