PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine exhaust structure of a work machine whose exhaust gas from an engine is guided to the lower portion of a machine body through a vertical exhaust pipe and a bent exhaust pipe and then to a lateral exhaust pipe arranged along a body frame so as to be discharged to the outside of the machine, and a leading edge portion of the lateral exhaust pipe is fitted on a trailing edge portion of the bent exhaust pipe and openings for sucking dilution air are formed at the fitting portion of the bent exhaust pipe and the lateral exhaust pipe, and which is capable of producing the lateral exhaust pipe at low cost and reducing the height of the lateral exhaust pipe. SOLUTION: The cross-sectional shape of the lateral exhaust pipe 21 has a vertical width which allows the lateral exhaust pipe 21 to fit on the trailing edge portion of the bent exhaust pipe 20 without gaps. Also, the cross-sectional shape of the lateral exhaust pipe 21 is such that the openings c for sucking the dilution air are formed at side sections except the upper and lower ends at the fitting portion of the bent exhaust pipe 20 and the lateral exhaust pipe 21.
