PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for easily and quickly restoring the data of a logical volume for managing original data. SOLUTION: This storage device is provided with an LU management table 61 in which the LU# of a P-Vol10p and the LU# of an S-Vol10s are associated with each other and stored. A CPU 53 specifies the LU# of the S-Vol10s at the saving source of the data to a magnetic tape 74; acquires the LU# of the P-Vol10p associated with the specified LU# from an LU management table 61; makes a magnetic tape drive 71 read the saved data from a magnetic tape 74 in which the data are stored, and makes the P-Vol10p of the acquired LU# store the data read from the magnetic tape 74.
