The compounder injection molding machine has a plastification device. A melt line (70) and an injection duct (82) are interconnected over a switching valve (90) with three shift positions. The melt line is locked in a secondary switching position or injecting position, and the injection duct is released for an injection operation. A melt, arriving from the melt line, is decanted into a collecting space (56) of a piston spraying apparatus in a third switching position or decanting position.
