<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a remote controller for on-vehicle equipment, which can prevent interference between a transmitted electric wave from other electric wave transmission sources by a regular transmission system and a transmitted electric wave from a user's own vehicle, without providing a detection means. <P>SOLUTION: An on-vehicle station transmits a calling signal, including a predetermined starting code, to a portable machine 1, receives a response signal, responding to the calling signal, from the portable machine 1, transmits a question signal to the portable machine 1 in accordance with the reception of the response signal, performs authentication by means of an authentication ECU 6 by receiving an answer signal for the question signal from the portable machine 1, and controls an operating state of the on-vehicle equipment when the authentication is performed. The portable machine 1 is provided with a starting determination section for determining whether or not the predetermined starting code included in the calling signal received by an LF reception section 1c is effective. The starting determination section transmits the response signal by determining that the starting code is effective, when a value of a correlation between the received starting code and a predetermined pseudo noise-base code is a predetermined one or above. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
