<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an AV server device in a home network for transmitting and receiving AV content between AV apparatuses connected to communication interfaces with different specifications while ensuring copyright protection. <P>SOLUTION: The AV server device has an HDD 11 for recording content and its attribute information, a format converting part 12 for converting a format of the content, and a plurality of communication interfaces 13 and 14 for transmitting and receiving content with an external apparatus through the HDD 11. A control part 16 determines whether to reproduce the content on the basis of specification information of a communication interface of a recorder included in attribute information of content, copyright protection information, the authentication of copyright protection, and specification information of a communication interface of a player and converts data into a format so that the external apparatus can receive reproducible content and transmits the data when a playback request for the content is made from the external apparatus. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
