<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid seasoning, in which potassium chloride is used as salt substituted for sodium chloride to regulate the intake balance of sodium and potassium, and from which characteristic odd taste that falls in potassium chloride is eliminated. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid seasoning comprises 3-20 g/dL of the sodium chloride and 1.5-17 g/dL of the potassium chloride, has an Na/K weight ratio of 2 or larger and contains saccharide and/or kelp extract. Addition of the saccharide and/or the kelp extract results in eliminating the characteristic odd taste inherent in potassium chloride, and the total balance of the taste is fixed up to be satisfactory for the prevention of hypertension, dietary cure for hypertensive patients, and improvement in dietary habits where intake of only the sodium chloride is excessive. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
