<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a skimming damage in electronic settlement with an IC card. <P>SOLUTION: This pin pad is provided with: user interfaces 12, 13 and 14 including an IC card reader/writer 14; a connection cable 81 to which power is supplied from a settlement terminal 1; a detection part 23 for detecting the stop of the power supply from the settlement terminal 1; a power part 44 for supplying power from the settlement terminal 1 to be supplied through the connection cable 81 and power to be supplied from a battery 91 to each part; and a control part 35 for making a storage part 33 store power supply stop information according to power supply from a battery 91 with the detection of the detection part 23 as conditions.
